warriorinside: Science in 333 with warrior:
Today we'll be learning about acids and bases now the indicator paper is used to identify types of bases and acids when you dip it into the liquid it will change color how strong it is and weather it's a base or an acid The colors right of the neutral place The colors left of the neutral place is acids keep in mind not all acids are dangerous Now, the redder the acids get the stronger they are. If they are deep red they are dangerous. The bases are usually cleaning supplies and are very bitter, the more dark blue/purple they get the stronger the bases are. using the rainbow provided by one of you students I have created a little chart to demonstrate. Now what is the nuetral territory you ask? The green area is where the liquid is neither a base nor an acid. Next time I'll teach you how scientists use flame tests to identify a material! Class dissmissed :> |
